Bir Bahadur Shahi, 31, of Dullu Municipality-12 Lamsu has been arrested by the police on May 20, 2021, on the charge of raping a 25-year-old woman.
According to Inspector Indrajit Sunar of the District Police Office, Dailekh, the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim at the District Police Office on May 17. The victim was raped on March 12.
The victim told the INSEC representative that she could not lodge a complaint immediately after the incident as she had received death threats.
According to Dr. Jeevan Gyawali, the victim was examined at District Hospital, Dailekh on May 17.
