Police arrested Milan Gurung, 31, and Samir Gurung, 33, both of Devghat Rural Municipality-4, on July 1, on charges of gang-raping a 15-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Abukhaireni, on July 1, accusing the two of raping the victim on June 30.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s side, a police team deployed from Abu Khaireni arrested the accused.
The accused have been remanded to seven days in custody for investigation, according to Dwarika Prasad Ghimire, Information Officer at the Tanahun District Police Office.
The victim underwent a medical examination on July 1 at the provincial hospital in Damauli.
