Police arrested two individuals on charges of raping 14-year-old and 16-year-old girls.
Police arrested Shiva Sahani, 21 of Bhadrapur Municipality-5, on June 26, on charges of raping a 14-year-old on June 24.
The police also arrested Abishek Mahato, 18, of Bhadrapur Municipality-5, on the same day, on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl at the banks of Mechi river.
According to police, the accused were arrested for investigation based on the complaint filed by the victims’ side.
The survivors underwent a medical examination at Mechi Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur on June 26.
