Police have charged 80 people for conducting abusive behavior and sexual abuse in public vehicles.
SP Shyam Lal Gyawali of Metropolitan Police Office said that from the last nine months 80 people were charged for such public offence.
Majority of victims are women according to police. The Metropolitan police have started the campaign of making the public transport safety.
Police have been deployed in civil dress and will take action against such abuser.
Police have started “Safety Pin” campaign from the last two years inside the valley. This campaign is success to minimize such offence to some extent according to police.
