The investigation committee formed after the death of ninth grader Samikchya Acharya , 13 has concluded that she died because of the delay on her treatment after she collapsed during a rally. The report was made public today.
The report was made public through press meet by the committee formed in coordination of INSEC district representative Durga Thapa on December 21.
The investigation committee was formed by the locals after the suspicious death of Acharya on December 8 while she was participating in a rally organized in an inauguration ceremony of Karnali Expo international fair. The committee report also stated that there has been a direct role played by the organizer Surkhet Industry and Commerce in a death of a girl because they have not followed the provision stated in Code of Conduct 2068 (2) released by PABSON and District Education Office.
The report has also states that students cannot be used for rallies and other activities. The education activities can be done only after taking the permission of District Education Office.
The victim Samikchya collapsed during the rally on December 8 at Ganesh Chok of Birendra nagar Municipality-6. She was taken to the hospital only after 20 minutes and when she was taken to the Deuti Nursing Home, she was declared dead.
