Police arrested a dance teacher on allegations of repeatedly abusing a female student through social media platforms. The victim is a student of Sukuna Secondary School, located in Sundarharaicha Municipality -10.
The accused, 39-year-old Bhim Nepal, a resident of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality–7, Jhapa District, was arrested by police on July 21 2026 on the charges of sexual abuse.
According to Makendra Kumar Mishra, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Morang, police arrested a total of four individuals in connection with allegations of sexually abusing female students at different time intervals. The arrested individuals include two teachers, one school vehicle driver and one dance teacher. All four have been taken into custody for investigation.
On July 20 2026, police had arrested – 40-year-old Pradeep Bhattarai, a resident of Sundarharaicha Municipality – 10 and the school vehicle driver, 30-year-old Kishorlal Gachchhadar, a resident of Sundarharaicha Municipality – 2 and 35-year-old Abiral Maskey a resident of Sundarharaicha Municipality- 12 both teachers at the same school.
The District Police Office, Morang, stated that the suspects were taken into custody based on chat that was made public on social media and complaints received. DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra further said that currently a detailed investigation into the incident is underway.
The Municipal Committee of the Nepal Teachers’ Federation, Sundarharaicha issued a statement on July 21 2026, requesting everyone to cooperate with the investigation process and to remain patient until the facts of the case are fully established.
