Mohammad Arif Sheikh, 29, a resident of Sarlahi Haripur Municipality-6, was arrested on December 19, 2022 by the Metropolitan Police Station, Thimi on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl in Suryavinayak Municipality-4 Modern Chowk on the night of December 18, 2022.
Sheikh living in Suryavinayak Municipality-4 Modern Chowk lured the girl alone at night and raped her. DSP Raju Pandey informed that the police arrested Sheikh from his room after the victim’s parents filed a complaint in Thimi Metropolitan Police Station on the December 19, 2022.
DSP Pandey informed that the victim’s health was examined at Bhaktapur Hospital and she was handed over to her family while further investigation is underway.
