The Election for 275 seats in the House of Representatives and 550 seats in the Provincial Assembly started at 7 am across the country. This is the second periodic election after the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal 2015.
In this election, 165 candidates will be directly elected, and 110 proportional candidates will be elected to the House of Representatives. A total of 550 candidates will be elected Provincial Assembly, 330 direct candidates and 220 proportional candidates.
INSEC has mobilized 751 observers in all districts in the country to monitor these elections. The Executive Director of INSEC, Bijay Raj Gautam, informed that INSEC Online would update the election-related reports received from the observers and district representatives throughout the day.
