Shankar Safi, 21, of Sunsari Koshi Rural Municipality-7, has filed a police report against supporters of Aman Lal Modi, the candidate of the coalition party for Constituency No. 4, Morang. Safi accused the supporters of assaulting him during the election meeting held on November 16.
The victim had asked the candidate to tell him what he has done so far for the development of his Constituency during the candidate’s visit to a Madrasa in Kathari Rural Municipality-3.
After Aman Lal Modi’s speech in the coalition assembly, the victim alleged that Modi’s supporters beat him up when the victim asked questions.

Safi, a permanent resident of Haripur Sunsari, lives in a rented flat in Koshi Rural Municipality-7 and works as a tuition teacher.
DSP Deepak Shrestha of the District Police Office said that the police arrested Safi after receiving information about the disturbance at the election meeting.
