The Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC) discussed about the pre-election situation with the concerned stakeholders in the district on November 13.
Sushil Pyakurel, Founding chairperson of INSEC and former commissioner of Human Rights Commission, Krishna Gautam from INSEC Central office and Yagya Thapa, human rights activist held a discussion with the Chief Electoral Officer Justice Dilliratna Shrestha, Chief District Officer Vejraj Khatiwada, DSP Ganga Poudel and others.
In the discussion, Human rights activist Sushil Pyakurel stated that the concerned bodies shall themselves work on making the election fair, fearless and creating a favourable environment for the citizens to exercise their right to vote.
The Chief District Officer, Bhojraj Khatiwada informed that they will not leave any stone unturned to make the election clean, fair and fearless.
Chief District Officer Khatiwada said that, noting the past history, request has also been made with the concerned bodies to make the election free, fair and fear-free.
On the same occasion, a discussion program was held between activists, civil society, and journalists exploring the efforts and preparations that are being made to conduct the election free, fair and fearlessly.
