Despite the request of the Chief Election Officer’s office on October 9, 2022 to remove the flag placed in Chautara Bazar by the CPN Maoist Centre against the Code of Election Conduct, the flag placed in the market area was not removed.
On October 8, the CPN-Maoist Centre placed a flag with the election symbol on every house in Chautara Bazar. This act is a violation of section (h) of subsection 1 of section 14 of paragraph 4 of the Election Code of Conduct 2079.
Chief Election Officer Bidur Koirala said that the action was against the code of conduct and requested to be removed.
According to the Chief District Election 
Officer Koirala, it is the responsibility of all parties to discourage acts contrary to the code of conduct. Therefore, all sides need to be careful.
