Police arrested Jasan Tamang, 33, of Hamela in Chaubise Rural Municipality-5 on the charge of attacking her wife Sunita Tamang, 28, with a sharp weapon. The accused was arrested on June 13, 2022.
According to the District Police Office, DSP Chiranjeevi Dahal, the accused was arrested from his house on the charge of injuring his wife during a domestic dispute. The victim sustained injuries in her left leg, right arm and various parts of her body.
The victim is undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan Ghopa.
According to the police, the accused was arrested after the neighbours informed the police station at Maunabudhuk about the incident.
The accused is a permanent teacher of Machhindra Devi Basic School in Chaubise Rural Municipality-5.
According to DSP Chiranjeevi Dahal, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on June 14.
