Human rights defenders have published a statement expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health condition of women’s rights activist Ruby Khan, who has been on a hunger strike for 22 days.
Through a press release, human rights defenders have urged relevant parties to be sensitive to Khan’s health condition while respecting citizens’ right to life and right to health, and to seek a resolution to the issues she has raised through legal means and dialogues.
The statement informed that a team of human rights defenders visited Sanjivani Hospital on May 18, and inquired about the health condition of Khan, who is undergoing treatment there.
