Hira Lal Rajak, 52, has been imprisoned for life along with confiscation of property on December 21 in the charge of killing his wife Gita Rajak, 40, of Rajbiraj Municipality-1, Chanaura.
As per Saptari District Court, bench of district judge, dr. Indra Kumar Acharya rendered the verdict of life time imprisonment along with confiscation of property to the accused.
Body of Gita was found on November 26 at the passage of a organic manure building under construction in Rajbiraj Municipality-1. Deceased body has sharp weapons cuts on head and forehead. Accused was arrested on mangsir 10.
Rajak couple from Rajbiraj municipality-1, Rampur used to stay at Dipendra Yadav’s house on rent. Postmortem of the body was conducted on November 26 at Gajendra Narayan Singh hospital, Rajbiraj.
Father of the victim, Gajanand Rajak has filed a complaint in the district police office, Saptari on November 26. Accused confessed his crime in the district police office, District Attorney’s Office as well as district court. The verdict was rendered soon after the registration of the case.
