More than 2,000 security personnel will be mobilized within the district during the election for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly to be held on November 20.
According to the District Security Committee, 2000 security personnel will be mobilized throughout the district to conduct the elections in a clean, fair and fearless environment.
Chief District Officer and the Coordinator of the District Security Committee, Bhojraj Khatiwada informed that more than 2,000 security personnel will be mobilized including the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, and CIA to conduct the election in a peaceful environment.
According to The Chief District Officer Khatiwada, security personnel will be mobilized by pre-estimating the potential risk, by analyzing the incidents of the previous elections. Security personnel have been mobilized for the implementation of the election code of conduct and to ensure safety during the election.
Similarly, 41 out of 94 polling stations in the district are under the highly sensitive zone and the security strategy for those areas have been decided accordingly.
On the basis of security sensitivity, the Polling stations of Dolakha have been classified into three types on the basis of security concerns.
According to the Central Research Bureau, out of the total 94 polling stations across the district, 41 falls under the highly sensitive zone, 37 under the sensitive zone, and 16 under the normal zone,
Chief District Officer Khatiwada informed that the security personnel will operate on the basis of the sensitivity of the polling area.
A maximum of 18 security personnel will be deployed in sensitive zones, while a maximum of 15 security personnel will be deployed in normal polling station zones.
Temporary police will be deployed in the first security circle of the polling place, while Nepal Police will be deployed in the second circle and Armed Police will be deployed in the third.
The Nepali Army will provide security in the fourth circle. In addition, the district security committee said that mobile teams will be deployed in all areas.
