The process of registration of nomination for the upcoming election for the House of Representatives and Province Assembly to be held on November 20, 2022 has started from today (October 9).
Election Commission’s spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel has informed that the candidates have started filing their nominations at the offices of election officers established in different locations of the country for the purpose of election of members of the House of Representatives and members of the Provincial Assembly.
On the direct side, the candidacy registration process has started for 165 members of the House of Representatives and 330 members of the Province Assembly. Registration of candidatures will start at 10 am and will continue till 5 pm.
According to the representatives of INSEC, due to rain in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, there is a problem in the registration of nominations.
According to the commission, the nomination can be registered by the candidate himself or through a representative.
It is mentioned in the code of conduct that no more than 25 people are allowed to participate while going to register their candidature, and they are not allowed to play instruments or create chaos during the process.
