Barsha Tharu, 30, of Tilottama Municipality- 17 registered a complaint against her 27-year-old husband Mohan Tharu accusing him of domestic violence on July 31, 2022.
The victim filed her complaint at the Area Police Office of Mangalpur accusing her that her husband had been torturing her after consuming alcohol.
The victim said that the accused threatened to kill her and abscond to India.
The victim said that her mother-in-law stopped this domestic abuse several times and now she couldn’t tolerate it anymore. She demands justice after filing her complaint in the police office. The victim is currently staying at her sister’s house.
The victim has bruises all over her body and was treated at the Lumbini Regional Hospital, Butwal on July 31, 2022.
The DSP of local police office Butwal, Thagbahadur KC said that the victim’s case against domestic violence is being investigated and a search of the accused is ongoing.
