Police have arrested Ram Singh Dhami, 33, a computer teacher at Malikarjun Basic School in Naugad Rural Municipality-6 on charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
Inspector Rajesh Shahi of the District Police Office said that the accused teacher was arrested from his house after the victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on May 25.
According to Inspector Shahi of the District Police Office, the accused had taped a video of raping the victim and had disseminated it via messenger on May 20, 2022. The incident came into light after the video was circulated to many people. The victim was raped in March.
According to Inspector Dhami, a case is filed against the accused under the heading of rape and cybercrime.
The victim was examined at the District Hospital on May 25.
