An unidentified group of people have attacked and murdered Gyani Maya B.K,57 of Halesi Tuwachung municipality-7, Mahadevsthan with Khukuri on May 30.
She was murdered near the Area Health Post at Halesi-Diktel road section while coming back from the jungle after fetching some grass and wood. Some of her jewelries have been looted according to the police.
DSP Nabin Kishore Pradhan of District Police Office of Khotang confirmed that she was murdered and the investigation is undergoing.
The body has been sent to District Hospital of Khotang for postmortem. The reason behind the killing is still unknown.
