Accused Arrested in Rape Case

Police arrested Ramesh Sah, 54, of Bhaisepati- 22, of Lalitpur, originally from Motihari, India, on May 29, on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl.

According to Information Officer and SP Gautam Mishra of the District Police Range Lalitpur, the suspect was arrested based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family at the District Police Range, Jawalakhel, on May 29, 2026.

The victim underwent medical examination on May 30 at Patan Hospital.

Police stated that the suspect has been remanded to custody for five days by the Lalitpur District Court and that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
