INSEC has monitored the holding center at Radhaswami Satsang Sundarighat, Kirtipur, where landless squatters from Thapathali, Gauri Gaun, and the Manohara area of Kathmandu district have been kept.
According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Suresh Deula of the Metropolitan Police Force, a total of 134 individuals from 50 households are being accommodated at the center, including 46 women, 36 men, 47 children, three elderly mothers, and two elderly fathers.
For security, the metropolitan office has deployed a two-member team on a rotational basis, while a team from Nepal Police is also providing security. Additionally, records including three-generation property details, biometric data, and citizenship numbers of the individuals at the center have been collected.

The metropolitan office has also arranged healthcare workers at the holding center. The dependents stated that the municipality has been providing the same type of packaged food to everyone, including the sick, senior citizens, children, and pregnant women. Meals are served twice a day, along with tea and biscuits in the afternoon.
During the monitoring, it was reported that no special arrangements have been made by the government for the diet of the sick, elderly, pregnant, postpartum women, or children.
Although one mattress has been provided per family at the holding center, bedding and blankets are being used from their own belongings. They have complained that entire families are forced to stay cramped in a single space, there is a lack of area to bathe and dry clothes, and there are no proper bathroom facilities arranged for men to bathe.

The monitoring team included Krishna Gautam, Shiva Khakurel, Govinda Tripathi, and Garima Bista.
