INSEC Monitors Holding Center for Landless Squatte

INSEC has monitored the holding center at Radhaswami Satsang Sundarighat, Kirtipur, where landless squatters from Thapathali, Gauri Gaun, and the Manohara area of Kathmandu district have been kept.

According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Suresh Deula of the Metropolitan Police Force, a total of 134 individuals from 50 households are being accommodated at the center, including 46 women, 36 men, 47 children, three elderly mothers, and two elderly fathers.

For security, the metropolitan office has deployed a two-member team on a rotational basis, while a team from Nepal Police is also providing security. Additionally, records including three-generation property details, biometric data, and citizenship numbers of the individuals at the center have been collected.
