INSEC has expressed grief in the untimely demise of Senior Health Expert Dr. Mathura Prasad Shrestha, a Guardian to Nepal Human Rights Campaigns and a respectable personality.
Dr. Kundan Aryal stated that Dr. Shretha will forever remain alive in the Human Rights and Social in a Grief Statement released on 20 February, 2023.
‘Dr. Shrestha had represented Bam Morcha, in an interim cabinet formed after the historical People’s Movement in 1990’ – Mentioned in the Statement.
Shrestha, who travelled to the several parts of the country and sensitized the people on 2005/06 People’s Movement played an important role in making Nepal a party to International Conventions including Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
