Police arrested 45-year-old Ram Ratan Yadav of Aurahi Municipality-4 Kabilasa on 26 May for the charge of killing his 50-year-old sister-in-law Rita Devi Yadav on the same day.
Police reported that the accused killed the victim by using a spade during a dispute relating to building a house.
DSP Santulal Prasad Jaiswar of the District Police Office added that the victim sustaining injuries was taken to Janaki Academy hospital at Ramgopalpur Municipality-9 for treatment. However she was deceased on arrival.
Furthermore, they are preparing to take the body to Jaleswar for post-mortem.
