The National Human Rights Commission and INSEC have agreed to collaborate for setting up a Human Rights Help Desk. The central office of the commission has written to the provincial offices informing them about the decision to collaborate with INSEC to establish the Help Desk after the meeting held on August 24.
The circular stated- “In accordance with the National Human Rights Commission Act 2011 and the policy guidelines of the Commission regarding the proposal for cooperation from Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) Central Office, a Human Rights Help Desk will be established at the provincial level offices of INSEC and a representative will be sent from the provincial office of the commission.”
It has been stated that coordination meeting will be held between the Commission and INSEC in all the provinces for the establishment of Human Rights Help Desk in Province 5, Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province. They will also discuss the formation and operation of Human Rights Defenders’ Network and workshop among the representatives and members of the Provincial Assembly.
