The participants of the program stressed that National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) must effectively coordination and do partnership among the organizations with similar objectives.
The representatives of various organizations expressed their views during the program held in Butwal on an interaction program on “coordination among NHRC, mass media and civil society” on June 17 organized by NHRC Kathmandu.
Member Govinda Prasad Sharma of NHRC said that the staffs should work so that victims can actually feel and realize that they have been provided with justice.
He added that no one should play politics the name of human rights. He said Human Rights must not be politicalized.
He announced that a journalist who has a contribution in the field of human rights will be honored this year.
Speaking at the program FNJ chair Sher Bahadur K.C said that the field of NHRC must be broaden as it is a constitutional body.
