Police Complaint Filed Over Extortion

A complaint has filed against Bishwas Mandal, 28, also known as Kale, from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-7, and his group, for extortion and abuse. According to DSP Kopila Chudal, on September 22, Bishwas Mandal allegedly attacked Subash Prasad Singh Gangai,25, who runs Mayalu Pharmacy in front of Nobel Hospital, with a knife after he refused to pay extortion money. Following the incident, the pharmacy owners filed a complaint against Bishwas Mandal and his group at the District Police Office on September 23.

DSP Chudal stated that Bishwas Mandal was arrested on the night of September 22 and the investigation has begun. The victims have filed a police complaint against Bishwas Mandal and his group for extorting money and creating terror on a weekly basis. The group also includes Shyam Chandranshi,26, Suraj Paswan,24, Arun Yadav, 27, and Syed Ansari,21.

Shivam Kumar Gangai stated that the accused injured Subash Prasad Singh Gangai,25, the owner of Mayalu Pharmacy, by attacking him with a knife on the night of September 22. He also stated that a separate written complaint was filed against Bishwas Mandal on September 22 for attempting to kill his brother. Subash Prasad Singh Gangai, who was injured in the attack, is undergoing treatment at Nobel Hospital. Chandan Kumar Shah of Yuma Medic, Pankaj Shah of Shivay Pharmacy, Pintu Yadav of Namaskar Pharmacy, Subash Prasad Singh of Mayalu Pharmacy, Nityaraj Sahani of Janaki Pharmacy, Sanjay Kumar Yadav of Jasmine Pharmacy, Dipak Shah of Om Shanti Pharmacy, and Krishna Shah of Raju Krishna Pharmacy have filed a police complaint against Bishwas Mandal and his group, accusing them of extortion and brutal assault.

Following the complaint by the pharmacy owners, the Morang police have initiated the investigation into the case.
