A 12-year-old boy studying in fifth grade at Ankura English Secondary Boarding School in Dolakha has accused Principal Ajit Kumar Chaudhary of brutally beating him inside his office on 25 August. According to the victim, the incident occurred during a Teej program at the school when children were playing. A small stone reportedly struck the principal’s daughter, after which the principal allegedly took the boy into his office and beat him severely on both thighs, leaving visible bruises.
The victim’s father said that when his son returned home in the evening, he refused to eat dinner and could not sleep throughout the night. Upon checking, they found bruises on his legs and neck. The injured boy was later treated at Charikot Chhorolpa Hospital. When the matter was raised with the school management committee, they responded by saying that the incident would tarnish the school’s reputation and suggested bringing the medical bills after treatment, assuring to cover the expenses.
