Lalu Yadav, 31, died by police gun shot on August 5, in Kamalpur, Rajgadh Rural Municipality–2 of Saptari. A team from the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) led by Raju Paswan, the Madhesh Province Coordinator, started an on-site monitoring on August 10. The team visited the incident site, met with the aggrieved party and eyewitnesses and held discussions with Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal and Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar KC to collect information about the incident.
The monitoring team included INSEC Madhesh Province Coordinator Raju Paswan, INSEC Saptari volunteer Nabin Yadav, Advocacy Forum Nepal Madhesh Province Coordinator Rajkumar Mahaseth, and journalist Baidyanath Jha. Raju Paswan stated that the report will be made public in a few days.
