Police arrested Ram Sahare Yadav, 45, of Madhavpur, Pratappur Rural Municipality-9, on March 23 on charges of raping a 40-year-old woman. According to DSP Biradatta Panta, Spokesperson for the District Police Office, the accused was arrested after the victim lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Belatari, on March 23, stating that she was raped by the accused the same day.
The victim underwent a medical examination at Prithvichandra District Hospital, Parasi, on March 23.
