Police arrested Alok Kurmi, 21, of Sammarimai Rural Municipality–3 on July 26 from his house for the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl. The girl filed a complaint at the Area Police Office, Marchawar, on July 26, stating that the accused raped her on July 15. Her health examination was conducted at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa, on July 25.
