Police arrested Jageshwar Pun, 38,on July 18 on the charge of killing his wife Goma Pun, 50, of Banglachuli Rural Municipality–4. According to DSP Chakrabahadur Shah of the District Police Office, Dang, the couple had a dispute on the night of July 17. The husband allegedly beat his wife with a stick on various parts of her body, resulting in her death.
DSP Shah stated that a police team from the Area Police Office, Kamirechaur, arrested the accused from his residence and initiated an investigation. The body has been taken to Rapti Academy of Health Sciences, Ghorahi, for postmortem, according to police.
