The Rupandehi District Court has sentenced a 45-year-old father to life imprisonment for raping his 19-year-old daughter with disability. According to Padam Aryal, Information Officer at the court, the bench of Judge Ishwar Parajuli on July 11, 2025, found the accused guilty and imposed a life sentence, a fine of Rs. 700,000, and ordered Rs. 100,000 to be deposited into the victim relief fund.
A complaint was filed at the Area Police Office, Butwal on September 22, stating that the accused had raped the victim on September 21, 2024. Police arrested the accused from his residence on September 22.
The victim underwent a medical examination at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal on September 21.
