Raj Kumar Rai filed a complaint at the Ward Police Office, Waling on July 8, 2025, stating that Prakash Aryal, a Representative of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Syangja, had subjected him to beating on July 7.
According to Inspector Sujan Bishwakarma Rai is undergoing treatment at Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.
Police informed that Aryal was taken into custody for a day and then released. Since Rai is still under treatment, Aryal has been placed under judicial obligation to appear when required. Inspector Bishwakarma said that further action will be decided after Rai recovers.
