Makwanpur District Court sentenced a 34-year-old man from Thaha Municipality to 45 years in prison for incest raping a 13-year-old girl. Information Officer Keshavraj Kaushik said that the bench of Judge Gita Shrestha on July 2 sentenced the accused to 25 years in prison for raping a close relative and 20 years for raping a minor girl, along with a fine of Rs 700,000.
The aggrieved party had filed a complaint at the Palung Area Police Office, stating that the girl was raped at her home on September 13. Based on the complaint, the police arrested the accusedand presented him in the court. The court then ordered him to be sent to Bhimphedi Jail for pre-trial detention.
