The District Police Office, Mahottari, arrested Gaurishankar Mahato, 25, of Balawa Municipality-6 on 23 June 2025, on charges of raping a 21-year-old woman. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against Mahato at the District Police Office, Mahottari, on 22 June alleging that raped her on 17 June.
Inspector Ashok Jha of the District Police Office, Mahottari, informed that the victim underwent a health examination at the Provincial Hospital, Jaleshwar, on 22 June.
