Saptari police arrested 16-year-old juvenile on 10 May for raping a 15-year-old girl on April 26. DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet of the District Police Office, Saptari, said that they arrested the juvenile and obtained a five-day remand from the District Court to carry out the investigation. The aggrieved party stated that the accused called the girl on the pretext of work, threatened her and raped her.
The aggrieved party had filed a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Kadarbona, on May 5. The health examination of the victim was done at Provincial Hospital, Lahan, on the same day.
