A group of unknown assailants vandalized the office of Raju Shrestha, the Chief of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Bharatpur Distribution Center, on March 25 for displaying offensive words against the Prime Minister on the office’s digital board. SP Rajan Limbu informed that the District Police had received information about the vandalism, but no formal complaint has been filed identifying the accused. The District Administration Office of Chitwan has sought a 24-hour clarification from the office chief regarding the offensive words against the Prime Minister written on the government office’s board.
The office chief and employees came under investigation following the incident . Chief District Officer Prakash Paudel stated that they have sought a clarification regarding the incident and initiated the process for further action. The Nepal Electricity Authority office in Bharatpur issued a press release on March 25, claiming that the digital board was hacked.
