Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that the government is committed to completing the remaining tasks of the peace process. He made this remark during a discussion with the INSEC team, including Executive Director Bijay Raj Gautam. He stated that with the agreement of the major political parties to advance the long-stalled process, the Cabinet meeting on March 25 decided to form a search committee. He expressed that the search committee, which has been given a two-month timeframe from its first meeting, will conclude the recommendations this time.
INSEC Executive Director Bijaya Raj Gautam handed over the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook to Minister Lekhak and provided an overview of the yearbook and the issues it addresses. INSEC Information Officer Krishna Gautam and Chief Editor of the Nepal Human Rights Yearbook, Madan Paudel, were also present during the meeting.
