Police arrested 30-year-old Saroj Sunuwar of Damak Municipality, Jhapa District, and currently residing in Sankhuwasabha, on January 16, on charges of Raping a 14-year-old girl.
Aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused on January 15, alleging that he raped the victim on December 25, 2024. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested from Dhupu, Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality-1, for investigation, according to Inspector Ramkumar Lamichhane of the District Police Office.
The victim’s medical examination was conducted at the District Hospital on December 30.
