The District Court has sentenced 41-year-old Manakumar Shrestha of Lisangkhu Pakhar Rural Municipality-3 to 10 years imprisonment for the crime of raping a 21-year-old woman.
District Bar Unit President Bhupendra Bahadur Thing stated that the bench of Judge Bhagwati Sharma Dhungana decided to sentence the accused .
The victim filed a complaint at the district police office on August 12 alleging that the accused had raped the victim on August 10.The police arrested accused on August 14.
The health examination of the victim woman was done on August 12 at Chautara Hospital.
