Police arrested 31-year-old Jhapat Bahadur Sunuwar for fatally beating his 29-year-old wife Bimala Sunuwar of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-7 on 6 October.
The Dolakha police stated that Bimala’s body was found at her home on the morning of October 6. Upon discovering injuries on her body, the police launched an investigation based on suspicions of killing. During the investigation, they found that her husband had beaten her to death. Inspector Dataram Adhikari of the District Police Office informed that the preliminary investigation revealed that Bimala, who was seriously injured by her husband’s beating on the night of October 5, died at her home on the morning of October 6.
The post-mortem of the dead body was done on October 6 at the Pashupati Chaulagain Memorial Hospital, Charikot.
