The District Court has decided to adjourn the case against 24-year-old Rustam Khan of Kalyanpur Municipality-4, accused of raping a 15-year-old minor. The decision was made by the single bench of District Court Judge Ishwarmani Ojha on 2 September.
The aggrieved party had filed a complaint regarding the incident on December 10, 2021 at the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya, alleging that the accused had raped the girl on November 26, 2021. The health examination of the girl was done on December 10, 2021 at District Hospital Siraha.
Although a charge sheet was filed against the accused in the district court on November 25, 2022, and an arrest warrant was issued, the accused has not been arrested yet.
