Police arrested 24-year-old Sabita Nepali of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-10, Dang, and 31-year-old Bimal Lama Tamang of Dhunibesi Municipality-5, Dhading, on August 7. They are accused of forcing a 26-year-old woman to work at their hotel, Sukuti Corner and Snack House, in Panauti Municipality-7.
The victim filed a written complaint at the Banepa Area Police Office on August 8 under the charge of human trafficking. She alleged that the accused lured her with a job as a hotel waiter but then forced her to engage in sexual relations with hotel customers.
DSP Laldhwaj Subedi of the Area Police Office in Banepa stated that the accused have been detained, and an investigation is ongoing.
