On 14 July 2024, police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Godawari Municipality in Makwanpur District on charges of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at Chapagaun Police Station on 9 July 2024, alleging that the accused had lured and raped the girl on 7 July 2024.
Following the complaint, the accused was arrested in Chapagaun, according to SP Naresh Raj Subedi of the Lalitpur Police.
Dr. Ravi Shakya, Director of Patan Hospital, confirmed that the victim’s medical examination was conducted on 9 July 2024.
