Police arrested 30-year-old Pratap Tamang of Mahalakshmi Municipality-3 Dadhagaun on July 4 for the charge of raping a 31-year-old woman.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on July 3, alleging that the accused had raped the victim on July 1.
DSP Rajbabu Maharjan of the District Police Office informed that the accused was arrested from Chathar Jorpati Rural Municipality 2 based on the complaint filed.
The health examination of the victim was done at the District Hospital on July 4.
