Police arrested 23-year-old Ramesh Kumar Yadav of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-8, Topa on June 21 for the charge of raping a 14-year-old minor.
The 22-year-old brother of the victim had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on 4 June alleging that the accused had raped the victim on 27 May and left her near their house on the morning of 28 June.
The victim reported that the accused insisted her he would drop her home and forcefully kept her on a motorcycle with the assistance of a friend and raped her in a field on the riverbank. Additionally, he threatened to make a video of her viral if she refused to come with him again on June 2.
The health examination of the victim was done at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital on June 4.
