The governmental buildings of the district has been cordoned off by the agitators against the government’s proposal of amending the constitution and dividing province number 5. The agitators surrounded the government buildings till 12 PM and Arghakhanchi Band from 8 to 11 am. The protest was called on by the revolutionary committee of the district.
The people were deprived of getting services due to the cordon off the building where as many commuters were stranded.
According to the INSEC district representative of Palpa, the demonstrators have organized a sit-in-protest infront of District Administration Office on December 9. The sit-in-protest was called on by joint revolutionary committee from 8 am to 3 pm. The agitators have continued Palpa Band program which has made a normal life more harder.
The demonstrators have forcefully closed the government offices. They have staged demonstration and sit-in-protest infront of District Administration office from the morning. The daily demonstration and protest have made normal lives of the people very hard. This has also affected education, health and industrial sectors. Many commuters have been stranded due to the closure of transportation.
The major political parties have announced agitation until the government do not withdraw its amendment proposal.
Chairperson Bir Bahadur Rana of Nepali Congress said that comprehensive Human Chain will be organized in Tansen on December 10 ,
