In a clash between CPN- Maoist and CPN-UML cadres at Bhimdatta Municipality-19 on May 4, two UML cadres have been injured.
CPN-UML cadres Anju Chaudhary, 32, and Rajendra Prasad Awasthi, 40, of Bhimdatta Municipality-19.
According to CPN-UML Kanchanpur District Deputy Secretary Karna Bahadur Chand, Anju and Awasthi suffered head and chest injuries after being beaten by the CPN-Maoist cadres.

According to Rajendra Awasthi, UML cadres including Birendra Chand and Raghubir Dhami of the CPN-Maoist attacked and beat them during the election campaign.
UML Deputy Secretary Chand said that a complaint has been lodged at the Bagphanta Police Station demanding action against those involved in the incident.
Though those injured in the beating are undergoing first aid treatment at Mahakali Hospital, Chaudhary has been referred to Dhangadhi due to head injury.
According to Birendra Pujara, in-charge of Bagphanta Police Station, the clash took place after the CPN-Maoist cadres arrived at Bagphanta.

As both the parties involved in the incident have lodged a complaint with the police against each other, both the parties will be called for discussion, said DSP Chakra Shahi of the District Police Office.
