Police have arrested Anil Badi, 23, of Lamkichuha Municipality-2, Kailali, Sunil Badi, 20, of the same area, and Dhan Bahadur Kami, 40, alias Dhiraj of Kalimati Rural Municipality-5, Salyan, on May 7, on charges of raping a 40-year-old woman on April 15.
The victim’s family filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Rolpa, on May 7, alleging that the accused gang-raped the woman on a forest path while she was travelling from Sunilsmriti Rural Municipality-2 to a relative’s house in Madi Rural Municipality-1, Chihandanda.
Police said that the accused were laborers working on culvert repair along the under-construction Madan Bhandari road section at Lapchan in Madi Rural Municipality-6, Rolpa District.
